Kiefer Sutherland stars in Mirrors. This film is considered a horror and I don’t know why he decided to do this kind of movie. Kiefer can do a lot better than this kind of film. Mirrors was a good film but it could have been a lot better. The story line was good but somehow it fell a little short and didn’t completely deliver. I must add the ending kind of sucked. One of the most important things about any story is the ending. Mirrors didn’t have to end so abruptly, leaving you up in the air.
Mirrors is about a former cop (Kiefer) who has had to go throug rehab for alcohol abuse due to a bad experience while working. He begins trying to repair his relationship with his wife and family by taking on a job at an old building that had a fire. He becomes a night watchman to soon find out that the mirrors are alive. Eventually the mirrors can kill from any mirror located anywhere. Kiefer tries to figure out how to stop the killings and what exactly do the mirrors want.
Mirrors have a couple things wrong with it. There is too much gore for one. No need to show someone splitting open their neck or face. I’m not into that especially with a horror film that actually has a plot. It didn’t need to take this direction. With great acting throughout there was absolutely no need to turn to gore to make someone sick. The other main problem is the lack of its climax. It was unnecessary and silly. Then the ending was frustrating and didn’t make too much sense. If you see it you will know what I mean. I don’t want to spoil the ending.
Basically, Mirrors was ok. It could have been great which is frustrating since they had a great idea. The writer didn’t know how to exactly end the film. It could have been left on a good note but they chose a different direction. Bad decision.

I have some information and advice for those who are looking to buy a home or refinance one. Do not deal with Texas Lending ever! After questioning them myself about a refinancing possibility I have been told that it was pointless for me to refinance. No lender has told me this before. The agent for the company said that I would need to bring thousand and thousands to the table since I don’t have any equity (I informed him I didn’t have equity). He said this knowing that they would cover up to 97 percent of the loan amount. Where did thousands come from. Three percent wouldn’t have even come to $2,000.
As with most lenders these days they rob the borrower by charging them interest first so that they get their money. In order to actually pay anything towards your home you will have to pay more than the monthly mortgage and stress that you want it to go towards the principal rather than where they choose to put it.
The amount I need refinanced isn’t much compared to what most homeowners these days got themselves into but it is enough to not be able to pay each month if the interest rate fluctuates upward. The reaction I got from the agent resembled a car salesman. He blew me off until he got the estimation of what the place would be appraised for. When he found out it was much higher than my loan then he wanted to talk to me. He did poor business with me and for that he will not get my business. I am now moving on to Prime Lending to see how they treat me. Hopefully they won’t tell me that it’s impossible or stupid to bring my own money to closing and that it’s “pointless to refinance without equity”.
I ended up asking the guy what do you tell all those people that recently bought a home and don’t have equity and are stuck in an adjustable or subprime loan? Do you tell them to forget it since they don’t have equity and then they end up losing their home? The guy basically said that the interest rates will not go up for a while which led me to ask how long is a while? Wouldn’t it be advisable to get everyone out of these type of loans? I can’t help but warn everyone to stay away from Texas Lending. And the guy couldn’t tell me how long a while was.

During this holiday season there have been many families that have lost their homes from foreclosure. Not only have they lost their homes but they had to give up their pets as well. The pet living without a home is growing in population and need both in finding a new home and helping in donations to keep these animals alive and well. Many organizations such as humane societies are bombarded with so many animals that some are not able to take in anymore until some more are adopted out.
Bucho the dog
Some humane societies such as the Dallas humane society at dognkittycity.org have done so much to help the homeless animals that they run close to running short on money to continue to stay open. They will take donations if we all just help lend a hand.

I love Money had its season finale with a reunion show. They brought back all of the reality stars one last time to talk about what happened during the season. A fight almost broke out between Megan and Pumkin as well as Megan and Heather. Of course the girls couldn’t stand Megan since she manipulated them and got them voted off.
At the time the show was taped Real still had a thing for Hoopz. He may still have something for her but he is ready to move on with his own reality show helping him search for love alongside his brother Chance. Hoopz didn’t seem interested in continuing any love type of relationship with Real. She is happy she won her money and is moving on with more hopes for winning money on other reality shows.
Entertainer keeps telling the world he doesn’t care what everyone thinks about him living at home at 30. It isn’t a big deal to single men living in New York. The state is quite different than most. New York is very expensive and unless you have a definite place to stay then living with your parents until you do isn’t any big deal. This is a different lifestyle than most states. Yet, Entertainer says he wants to move to California. I think he is looking at making a career for himself in reality shows. Hasn’t he heard how bad off many Californians are with foreclosures and how expensive it is to rent? hmmmm
12 pack admitted to hanging out with the Entertainer in NY and it even came out that he sleeps naked in the same bed with his friend. Even more questions arise there. Yet the entertainer has admitted to his love for Destiney but they didn’t go any further with that subject. I was curious to see if Destiney would put up with hanging out with such a weird guy. He is funny, but the entertainer is very weird and obviously has personal issues. He wants to be liked but says he doesn’t care what others think.
It was fun to see the folks back together again. I wonder if they will give them an opportunity to come together once more for another type of reality show. They are some characters and make some good mindless entertainment.

Senator John McCain recently announced a new plan that will cost Americans another $300 billion. This supposed plan would of course only go into effect if he becomes president. You know he is just grasping a straws and trying to figure out a way to become president.
His latest plan is to help struggling homeowners. This is only good for those that have fallen behind on payments and not the ones that are struggling to remain on time. The plan allows lost money on mortgages to go into the hands of lenders rather than taxpayers when in fact that is what was happening anyway. Taxpayers pay in the long run since the economy goes completely down hill since banks can’t lend and no one can get extra cash. Hmmm that’s what led to this problem to begin with!
McCain also wants the struggling homeowner to prove that they showed proof of income when they bought the home as well as have assets (cd, investments, other homes), and here is the real clincher, you must have put a large down payment on the home when you bought it. HUH? I don’t think he is in touch with what the hell is going on here. The reason why people can’t pay is because the interest rates continue to go up and the homeowner loses their job or gas and grocery bills are so high along with credit cards since everyone is just about making it. Then the homeowner that is in the adjustable loan comes home and opens up their statement to see they have to pay an extra $200 hundred this month! They didn’t show proof of income and they didn’t have a large down payment when they bought the home. This doesn’t mean they couldn’t afford it. This just means they can’t afford a fluctuating rate. His new plan will only adjust rates for homeowners that are late on payments. Hmmmm this isn’t encouraging to those that are just about making it.
My new plan. Lets decrease everyone’s interest rate. No one should pay more than 9 percent. The government should allow 9 percent to be the highest anyone should pay for a home. This way, you can base your payments on a 9 percent interest rate. If lower then that’s even better. This is of course for those in an adjustable which is largely the problem. So many homeowners are stuck in a fluctuating rate that it is hard to be able to pay something you never know what the amount is going to be. It is also hard to pay more and get ahead on your mortgage payments. The system is set up to gorge money out of every middle and lower class hardworking individual while our representatives allow new ways of American citizens to get screwed.
If McCain thinks this will help him get elected he needs to look over his plan again. Do not just help those that are struggling. In order to help the economy help homeowners to continue to be on time with their payments by making sure they are in a fixed rate loan or in an adjustable that doesn’t go higher than 9 percent. This will increase home buying and will increase security in our Stock Market.

Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama had their second debate last night. McCain needed to work on his ability to come across nice while Obama needed to work on being more aggressive. As it turns out they were both aggressive. I don’t think that Obama was aggressive enough and sometimes it frustrated me that he wasn’t harder on McCain. I did notice, however, that McCain is trying to be nice or put on a smile here and there in order to connect better to the audience and viewers.
In the second debate the forum was different. The two candidates stood in the middle of a sitting crowd that surrounded them. Tom Brokaw monitored the debate but seemed to struggle talking.
McCain seemed uncomfortable with this type of forum while Obama seemed to excel. Personalities are totally different and for many the forum of talking to people and trying to care about the questions they ask you is not for all politicians. It becomes a sort of show rather than a debate yet near the end of the debate McCain became frustrated that things weren’t going the way he wanted and came across cranky. Maybe he can’t handle explaining himself and what he is going to do for an hour and a half. Maybe it is nap time for him after one hour. Who knows. But he’s got to get a handle on it if he plans to be president.
Obama came across more at ease and charismatic which is why I will say he won. I can’t say that either one really challenged each other on the questions or confronted the other about bills they signed. A few words were thrown out here and there but nothing was really accomplished. If one seems too aggressive it could kill their chances while if they don’t attack the questions their chances of becoming President also deminishes.
The question is who really won and who is going to win the ultimate prize of presidency? Who do you think is going to win?

Senator Barack Obama came out to show why he should be president. Senator John McCain seemed always on the defense. He tried pulling attention off of some bad decisions that were made in the past 8 years, but Obama made sure to relate and name McCain alongside President Bush. Smart move.
People need to be reminded that voting for McCain will be the same as voting in Bush once again. Sure there may be a few minor things different, but he still backs the war and has absolutely no timetable set up to get the soldiers out of Iraq. McCain’s theory is “put more boots on the ground.” That’s insane and ridiculous.
Obama managed to make his points how he would like to make a change for the better. At this point, we really have nothing else to lose. With McCain we will continue to go spiraling down. He continues to talk about the corrupt money hungry theives among the administration and among wall street and yet he will not change anything. There aren’t any specifics mentioned. Obama wants to get small businesses back in action and try to get more assistance to those that desperately need it and at least talks about a change. In order for McCain to win votes he needs to stress change. No one wants to continue going down with no way of getting back up.
I wish that Obama came out pointing more of the problems with McCain. He did point out a few but he had more chances of completely nailing him for all of the problems in the administration that he is linked to. I am a Republican and I am a white woman who feels strongly against allowing corruption ruling this country any longer. We must change it and let this party realize we will not stand for corporation ruling. Let them fall where they may.
Whoever focuses in on improving education and producing small businesses is going to find the country improving greatly. With smarter and more educated individuals trying to develop their own businesses rather than rely on larger ones will help the economy more than anything else. Health care is a focus made by Obama and the need to help the elderly are among the changes that can be made with the right choice for President.

I am in the midst of trying to refinance my home since I am stuck in one of these ridiculous adjustable loans. Yep, I am one of the many suckers in the U.S. that managed to fall into the lenders trap. They gave me a high interest rate and everything even though my credit wasn’t that bad.
My loan has been sold three times and most recently sold to Litton Loan Services. I say their name since they have shown to me that they enjoy adding extra fees that have nothing to do with my account. I spend weeks that go into months fighting these stupid extra fees that are never explained completely on even why they are on there. They make you call and call and call until you find someone that has enough curteousy to tell what is REALLY going on. Now I await another month before I see the extra fees I sent them.
See, the thing is, loan companies, especially servicing companies rely on homeowners to stop calling and get frustrated. Yet, they don’t know me very well. I don’t give up and in fact, I keep pushing them until I can finally get an answer. I told this lovely lending servicer that I know what their next step is going to be which is charge taxes. I had to tell the people that answer the phones and who are set up to point in the WRONG direction to be certain not to bill my December mortgage statement with taxes that I already pay separately. See, if you are in an FHA loan you are required to have your taxes included and at the end of the year they will send you the difference if any or you pay more if needed. I have heard many bad things about this company and am working on getting rid of them by refinancing.
What I would like to do is offer assistance to anyone who is struggling with their lender and with their mortgage payments. I can help you with some advice if you are going through some tough times. I don’t like how the many lenders, particularly lending services are handling mortgages of homeowners. If you are a struggling homeowner and would like to speak your mind here please do so and I will do what I can to help you.

Has anyone gone through a refinance for their home? Have you noticed how they put you through the ringer just to find out if you could afford a lesser mortgage? Is this not a joke? I am having to prove that I can afford to pay more than $200 less a month.
They tell me I don’t make enough money to fit into their criteria yet I have never been late on a payment. They tell me I can’t consider my part time jobs since I haven’t had them for two years. I can’t, I can’t, I can’t is all I hear. The proof that I have never been late on anything in the past two years should be evidence enough that I can afford to pay less for my home.
Maybe I am just ignorant to the lenders and banks reasoning behind such stupidity but I know if I saw evidence that this person has lived in a home for two years and has never been late on anything for two years and has had the same job for multiple years I would not give this homeowner a problem in refinancing what so ever. The mortgage lenders are a crock and what it comes down to is that they don’t make enough money off of me since I am not getting a large loan.

I just wrote articles on tax foreclosures that are going on around the country on a foreclosure website. I became quickly informed of this latest problem. I never realized that if you don’t pay your property taxes you could lose your house even if you are consistant with your mortgage payments. What’s up with that? People shouldn’t have to suffer through this. There should be help for those that can’t afford to keep up with the rising property taxes. Besides there are penalties given for those that don’t pay on time, but they should never lose their home. This is a shame this happens in America.
