Dancing with the Stars Has Another Injury

Published by lrh2310 at 12:55 am under Music, relationship, television Edit This

Dancing with the Stars has started their new season with yet again, more injuries. Yesterday the show had the stars dance their second dance. Steve-O already had a bad back (probably from all of the stunts he did on Jackass the mtv show) and decided to do a flip at the end of one of the routines with his dance partner. She recommended he didn’t do it due to his back and he went ahead and did it anyway. He injured himself during their run through. Therefore, the show used their run through which was a couple hours before the show aired for the judges to give their scores and opinions on. Surprisingly, Steve-O managed to stay out of the bottom two from the elimination show that aired tonight.

Belinda Carlisle and Steve Wozniak ended up in the bottom two. In the new twist they added this season the bottom two dancers have what they call a “dance off.” This means that the judges score the two again and the scores are put in with the votes from viewers. The silly thing is, is if the viewers voted for the second to last person by a large margain then I do not know how extra points from the judges is really going to save the bottom couple. The only way something like this will help is if the couple performs extremely well and receive much better scores from the judges on top of the two bottom couples being very close in votes. Belinda scored a point lower and Steve ended up with the same score. With the votes tallied again, Belinda went home. I was really surprised that she performed so awkwardly, but she was pretty bad. I love her music, but she is no dancer. Steve isn’t either, but he managed to use what he is good at which is promote his personality. He is a likeable guy and ended up getting a standing ovation on his second try. Belinda just held back too much which got her eliminated. If she didn’t go tonight it would be next week anyway. There are several good dancers this year, but my favorite is the frenchman Gilles Marini. Love this guy. Very hot and very talented. He knows how to connect to the audience. I love watching him. My second fav is gymnast Shawn Johnson.

Lawrence Taylor is surprisingly good. He has improved from last week too. Denise Richards who seems more concerned what others think of her and how she looks on camera also improved greatly. The bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft and Lil Kim should be sticking around for a while too. Can’t wait for next week.
