Jorge and Jasmine Leave American Idol

American Idol eliminates two contestants. One isn’t so much of a surprise while the other is kind of a shocker for me. Jasmine was booted off first. She was in the bottom two with Megan (tattoo girl who has the horrible dance). Then Anoop and Jorge were next two to be put in the bottom. In a new twist this year, AI decided to allow the judges the opportunity to save one of the contestants that is voted off. However, they are only allowed to save one. What they should do is be allowed to save one for each show and eliminate only one. As the shows move on with only calling out one of to go home then it shouldn’t be done. But only to use this save for once out of the season is kind of stupid.
Jorge shouldn’t have gone home. Jasmine shouldn’t have been selected at all to be in the final 13 anyway so no big deal there, but Megan should have gone home instead of Jorge. Anoop needs to figure out a good song to sing since he seems to choose really bad songs for himself. I hope that Jorge is offered work since he really is a good singer and much better than a lot of the other contestants. Very frustrating for me to see this happen and then the judges don’t even save him. What a shame. I think it is also rather ironic that the two guys in the bottom were minorities and the girl that went home was a minority as well. Mind you Jasmine is a better singer than Megan, but Megan stays. Like I said I would have eliminated the two girls together and not any of the guys just yet. There is one bland guy (michael) on the show that I wish would be eliminated as well. He shouldn’t have been in the top 13 so hopefully he will go home next week along with Megan.
My prediction is that the final three will be between Allison (the fiery redhead), Danny Gokey, and Adam Lambert. The guy that should go home is Michael Sarver. I don’t know how the hell he ended up being safe this week and both Anoop and Jorge were put in the bottom. This bites. But enough ventilating. Next week better be less disappointing. I was glad to see Kelly Clarkson perform on the show again. She always sings well and she is a great example for the other contestants to do their best.
