Boogeyman 2 was released in 2008 on dvd. It is the sequel to the 2005 boogeyman film. The original was a great and original idea that left you enticed in the story. It wasn’t one of the best horror films I have ever seen, but it definitely was worth watching and was entertaining. However, the sequel didn’t do the first film justice whatsoever. The sequel continued to refer to the first boogeyman’s main character as he left behind a journal describing his experience. Well, if they explained enough they would have remembered that the guy survived since he found out what killed the boogeyman. Of course, the boogeyman would return, but to say that he managed to kill of the main character that figured out a way to get rid of him was the wrong direction to take.
This sequel begins with showing a girl and her dog who end up getting attacked by the boogeyman. Apparently the main guy in the first film was the father to the girl and she kept telling everyone she found out who killed her father and of course no one believed her. She eventually got killed as her friend began to believe that the boogeyman existed. From there it got worse as she continued to harp on the same thing….the boogeyman exists and her friends keep telling her that he doesn’t. At this point I am sitting there thinking who cares. Why not try to figure out how to get rid of him. There was no thought about that and basically they all became victims of the boogeyman. This film was annoying and a waste of time. They took a great concept and turned it into something completely silly and annoying. The characters were intriguing and the acting was great as well. It became a little silly near the end as they seemed to anticipate the film to be a corny b film, but overall the actors did a great job in trying to save this sorry film. One of the most irritating things a horror film can do is try to shock their audience by not actually scaring them but making a loud sound to make you jump. I really hate that.

America’s best dance crew is coming down to the finale. March 5 the finale will air. It is between Beat Freaks and Quest Crew. No surprise here. They both deserved it. The beat freaks have been my favorite throughout but tonight they weren’t their usual creative selves. Quest crew came out on top tonight and I am very curious who will take home the title of best dance crew. At this point they both deserve it but they can only give it to one team. It would be nice to see an all girl group win finally, but as I said they weren’t their best tonight which I feel will hurt them. Quest crew on the other hand was at their best and didn’t miss a beat. They even got a standing ovation from the crowd and the judges.
JC had to comment on how perfect they were after he has been hard on them in past shows about how they pose too much. Shane and Lil Mama were overwhelmed with the groups creative and hard core routines as well. It is a tough call so I am anxious to see what happens.

American Idol had the next 12 contestants perform. Tomorrow night will eliminate 9 of them and save only 3 to move on to the next round. There were several that stood out and were good, but most were terrible. There’s an alarming amount of contestants that performed well enough in Hollywood managed to bore the viewers or sing horribly. Song choice is a real big problem this season.
The two top singers that should easily make it through are Allison (the red head) and Adam (with the killer vocals) . There are several others that could be the third choice such as Jasmine (who is really a good singer but chose the wrong song), Matt (also chose wrong song but has a good voice), and (the average) Kris. There are so so’s such as Jesse and Kai who performed well but not their best and Nick who loves to be funny while he performs. The third spot could end up with any of these choices since there was no one person that was exceptional and above the rest like Allison and Adam were.
The remaining contestants have seen their last day on AI such as Jeanine who thinks she was so great, but was not only hideous sounding she was hideous looking. The only good comment the judges could make was that she had good legs. Megan who has the long blonde curls was incredibly ridiculous as she nervously bopped around or jolted while singing her boring song. All the judges could say was that it was ok and she was very pretty. That long tattoo down her arm was also distracting to me and I just couldn’t stop staring at that and her horrible dance moves.

After the Academy Awards aired with very minimum surprises, there was much talk about the reaction of Angelina Jolie when Brad Pitt’s ex Jennifer Aniston was talking on stage. I saw when the cameras to a quick shot of Angelina laughing, but there was nothing wrong with her reaction from what I could see. After watching it back I didn’t see anything wrong. I heard stories that she was laughing at Jennifer and that there was a big gasp from the press when they noticed Angelina laughing. They tried to make a story out of nothing. Did the press realize that Jennifer was actually trying to be funny with the lines that the show gave her to say alongside Jack Black? Anyway, I think they should leave these two actresses alone. There’s no battle over Brad anymore as Jennifer has moved on to other relationships and Brad continues to stay with Angelina and raise their many children.

I Love Money 2 finally gets Buddha out of the house. Buddha never seemed like an arrogant ass when he was on I love New York. He didn’t seem to be so bad probably ’cause New York was crazy and started up fights just for the hell of it. So maybe I was never able to see how bad and manipulative Buddha really was. Nevertheless, he managed to portray himself in one horrible light on this show.
There was the green team and the gold team. The green team managed to lose every challenge. Buckwild was on the same team as Buddha and threw all of the challenges since she wanted him sent home. Yet, somehow even though Buckwild ended up in the box as one of the three choices to go home, Buddha never ended up in the box. In the last episode the challenge was which team could last in kissing their teammates butt the longest. The gold team won since Milf and Buckwild threw the challenge. T-weed tried to win but lost since he fell. Buddha got mad at him and made sure t-weed ended up in the box. Bonez has been loyal to Buddha throughout the show and didn’t vote to put him in the box which is why he stayed out. T-weed was sent home by the Entertainer who happened to be paymaster. The paymaster is going to be from the other team and is chosen by fellow teammates. Since Buddha didn’t end up in the box, T-weed went home.
This week also found a twist to the game and it was a good one. This was where Buddha got sent home. The guys and girls were separated and asked to write on the back of a coin who they trusted most. Saaphayari and 20 pack were chosen as the new team captains. Neither team chose Buddha and Buckwild was able to announce that their final choice was Ice (who happened to be the last one standing alongside Buddha). She said they wanted the stronger player on their team and that would be Ice. Buddha’s arrogance got him nowhere and even in private sessions where they talk to the camera, Buddha was arrogant. He kept saying there was no way they would send him home since he was the stronger player. Huh? It takes more than physical strength to win a game like this. He had to show how well he was able to communicate with his fellow teammates and not use them to keep himself out of the box.

The Oscars will air tonight with much anticipation of great moments to occur. There have been a great amount of past moments that has aired on 30 minute shows promoting the anticipation of great moments for this year. The most talked about nomination is Heath Ledger’s supporting role in the Dark Knight. There is a lot of talk about if he wins what will happen. Will his 3 year old daughter accept or the mother of his child or a member of his family? No one knows.
Kate Winslet wasn’t nominated twice (best actress and supporting actress) like she was for the Golden Globes. Therefore, we can’t anticipate her winning two awards again, but it would have been great to see happen. Winslet is up against Angelina Jolie for the Changling, Meryl Streep for Doubt, Melissa Leo for the River, and Anne Hathaway for Rachel Getting Married. There are three probable winners here with Winslet being the front runner. Streep and Jolie would be the other choices to win.
Best actor nominees consist of some great actors. Sean Penn for Milk, Brad Pitt for Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Mickey Rourke for the Wrestler, Frank Langella for Fros/Nixon, and Richard Jenkins for the Visitor are the nominees. The front runner is Mickey Rourke. Many want to see him win simply for the comeback story. Rourke is a great actor and had lost his quest for great acting roles until he was finally offered a good one. If he doesn’t win then we can anticipate an upset by either Penn or Pitt. These are all under-rated actors to say the least.
For the supporting category for the actors alongside Ledger are Robert Downey Jr. for Tropic Thunder, Michael Shannon for Revolutionary Road, Phillip Seymore Hoffman for Doubt, and Josh Brolin for Milk. If Ledger doesn’t win the Oscar then expect an upset by Brolin or Downey jr. For actresses those nominated in the supporting roles are Amy Adams for doubt, Penelope Cruz for Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Viola Davis for Doubt, Taraji P. Henson for the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Marisa Tormei for the Wrestler. This category can go to any one of the choices. There is no stand out actress here and I think they could have gone further than the three main films they chose to nominate this year.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the Wrestler, Milk, the Reader, Frost/Nixon, and Slumdog Millionare are the choices for best film of the year. Milk or curious case will probably win. There could have been better choices for this category as well.

I was completely shocked when Strikers All Stars lost out to Fly Khicks on ABDC. I don’t know what was up with that, but it was evident that the all girl group thought they should have gone home too. This week was the guys against the girls since there were two all girl groups (first time in ABDC history) and two guy groups. The top crew is considered the other all girl group, Beat Freaks. This group is really good and should definitely be in the final two if not the winners. Quest Crew picked up their game and did a great dance this week and they didn’t end up in the bottom two. Strikers All Stars ended up in the bottom two for the first time along with Fly Khicks. The guys were sent home after faltering rather badly in their final routine. Fly Khicks have been in the bottom two times previously and this was their third time in the bottom which is why it was really surprising to see that the judges chose them to stay.
Next week will be the dancers final chance to compete for the top spot. After amazing performance that were just stunning, Beat Freaks are leaps and bounds above the rest. Quest Crew should come in second unless something completely out of the ordinary happens and somehow Fly Khicks end up in the final two. They shouldn’t have been in the final four so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The biggest loser have pairs competing against each other. Starting last week they started eliminating one person off the team that fell below the yellow line which is the team that had lost the least amount of weight. Last week one of the members of the black team went home and this week was one of the members of the pink team. It is very interesting to watch these people struggle to work out and yet they somehow they only lose 2 or 3 pounds. Some will lose an amazing 8 to 12 pounds in a week. This show is amazing to watch. Both trainers, Bob and Jillian work these contestants so hard and yet only a few have real success stories.
It is said that many that end up leaving the show end up gaining a lot if not all of their weight back. However, I wouldn’t believe any of the past winners have done so. Those that don’t get to spend much time with the trainers will not be able to benefit much and will probably gain a lot of weight once they go home. I really don’t know why they don’t allow the contestants to stay at least two weeks before beginning elimination.
Each week there is usually a challenge. This week they each had to row and keep rowing until they had no more strength left. If one team member fell out then they both were eliminated out of the challenge. The only member left from the black team ended up winning the challenge. He won another week at the camp. It was a good thing too since he only lost 3 pounds.
It is getting near the end of the show and it is so cool to see how much weight these people continue to lose. I wish so much I could go to a place like this and not have to worry about going to work. I would like to be able to work out 6 hours a day. It would be a great relief and a stress reliever. Check out the show if you haven’t seen it. The trainers talk about many different ways to keep fit or to get fit. Very cool show.

Bret Michaels eliminates one of the new girls. After asking three girls to join the cast of blondes and brunettes Bret decided to eliminate one of them. The three new girls were asked to join after a challenge to make them go from drab to hot. It stirred some trouble between the girls for one episode but apparently things have been smoothed out.
Rock of Love bus had another challenge this week that involved mud and football. Bret played as the quarterback for each team while the girls wore more mud than clothes. Mindy was the big winner since Bret picked her as the most valuable player. By being mvp she was able to take a trip with Bret alone to Dallas for a concert. They spent the night together and the other girls were rather upset that Mindy didn’t come back sooner. Personally, I don’t get how these girls could have sex with a man that so many other girls are competing for. I don’t get how they could think about having sex with a man who has sex with tons of women already. He is so nasty, but then again, so are these girls. So, I guess they are made for eachother. At least they don’t show Bret having sex with these girls. We are saved from that horror. I can hear these girls yelling out that their implants bursted….again! This show is still very entertaining.

David Chokachi
Confessions of a Teen Idol is heading for its finale. This series lasted only five weeks. Most of the reality shows out there last between two to three months long. This show didn’t last very long and that’s disappointing. I must admit I find myself really enjoying this show. It gives an inside look into what the former teen idols have to go through in order to try to make back into the acting and/or music business.
One of my favorite scenes from tonight’s show was when one of the professional casting directors told the other how she thought David Chokachi (of Baywatch fame) was really cute. She couldn’t stop saying how cute she thought he was which I thought was really funny. He is the best looking one of the six and should find it the easiest to get work, but the others definitely should be able to find what they are looking for since they are talented individuals and didn’t get where they were by luck alone. They have talent and the ability to draw people into what they are doing which is probably why I like this show so much.
Christopher Atkins missed two episodes or rather an episode and a half. One show he had left so that he could go to a family members wedding. Another episode he missed going out to one of the challenges since he decided he was going to talk with some casting directors that will help him find work, but he returned midway through the show. When he came back nothing was said on what had happened. Did he succeed in getting work? Did they cast him for a job? Nothing was talked about and he just went out with the guys to their next challenge. I was curious to know what had happened.
Eric
Adrian Zmed left to go perform on a cruise ship that he worked for. This was what he has been doing to make money and he says he enjoys it. However, he desires to get back into television or movies. Once he returned he went with the other guys to finish up their challenge for the week. Eric Niles (from MTV fame) returned to the show at the end of last week’s episode after he left the week before after he got upset with one of the challenges. It’s weird but the show isn’t the same when one member is missing.
Jeremy
At the end of the show they announced the finale would be next week. That really bites. I don’t think these guys had enough time to progress and enough air time to be able to show Hollywood that they are available for work. This show was a great idea and they just need to come up with more stuff for the guys to do before calling it quits to set them off on their own. I also want to know what happens to them afterwards. Will Jeremy keep trying to get acting parts, will he turn back to drugs, or will he give up his acting career and get a different kind of job? I think it would be a cool idea to continue the show as they go their separate ways and stride to get work. Many stars have had their own reality shows so why not these guys? It’s an idea.
