America’s Best Dance Crew had some turn of events. The crews that were among the top became one of the worst this week. The clogging group Dynamic Edition did really poor in their last routine. The girls were dressed in white and pink and had their bleached blonde hair hanging down while the guy just looked out of place. Judge Shane made a comment that he couldn’t stop thinking of the movie White Chicks while they were dancing. Yeah, he kind of got a little dig in but it was funny. It is quite obvious that Shane doesn’t care much for the clogging group.

The two top groups, Beat Freaks and Strikers All-Stars did slam the others and they were the first two to perform. The challenge this week was to make a routine to Britney Spears music. The only other group that even competed with these two teams originality was Quest Crew (who has two members that competed on So You Think You Can Dance).

The group eliminated this week was really no surprise. It was Team Millenium. They were booted off early last season. They changed up their image a little and they did a good final routine but nothing compared to the others. The Ringmasters were in the bottom with them and danced an odd routine. The judges chose them to stay, but if they don’t come up with more dance moves I think they will probably leave next week or the week after. I really expected more from them. The team I was surprised wasn’t put in the bottom two was fly khicks. They are boring and are not nearly as good as the other all girl group Beat Freaks.

Real Chance at Love had its reunion show. It didn’t have any fights or real excitement about it. The only surprise was that MILF didn’t appear. They talked about her, but that was it. They admitted they didn’t know why she didn’t show but they did mention that she has a new boyfriend. Bay bay bay criticized MILF for going with another man soon after the show but she is now engaged as well.

Real Chance at Love was shot over a period of one month. It took three months before the two Real and Cornfed were allowed to see eachother. Cornfed admitted she flew in to see Real soon after the show was over but she hadn’t seen him since then. They text messaged each other a couple times, but that was it. They did, however, appear as though they were happy to see each other. Real said he wants to take his time and make the relationship work rather than jumping into a marriage and ruining the chance for the relationship to blossom.

Chance was asked if he did choose between the two girls, Cali and Risky, who would he have chosen. After much hesitation he finally blurted out Risky. Cali looked really hurt and it seems as though she really did like Chance. Risky didn’t care either way. Chance did the right thing by not choosing either one since he didn’t have feelings for them. It remains apparent that he is incapable of having real feelings for any of these women. He was nasty to Rabbit and complaining how she constantly gave him a hard time. He was also nasty to Bubbles calling her stupid and a bubble head. Both of these girls deserve much better than Chance. Granted Bubbles sounds silly but she is a girl who has a great heart and is trying to improve herself.

Another interesting part of the show was when Stalker and Sexy Legs went after the guys. Sexy legs was eliminated after Chance made up a story about the two having a fling behind Real’s back. After showing the clips Real still took his brother’s side. Why? Who knows. Who cares. They’re idiots. Sexy legs is another real nice girls and the simple fact is Real never felt a real connection with her and eliminated her. Stalker let Chance have it by calling him gay in so many words. She told him he needed to come out already. He didn’t seem to be too upset and only nervous as he continued to chew on a straw.

After all of the drama the show ended with Cornfed sitting with Real and Chance. The brothers promoted their new single and cd coming out soon. And that was it. No fights which could have happened for sure if MILF appeared (which is probably why she didn’t) and no exciting turn of events like Chance really coming out on national television.

Wanted stars Angelina Jolie, James, McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman. The direction was by Timur Bekmambetov who is a Russian director. Incredible shots were made throughout the film. Great dialogue and acting. I was very impressed with the movie and its full package. The only complaint I have is the amount of close up shots of people having their head blown off. It was like some of the video games I see nowadays. Very hard for me to look at and typically I turn away as I see the bullet about to penetrate the person’s head.

Wanted is full of action and sometimes silly action scenes but still very exciting to watch. Great car chases and fight scenes. This is definitely an action packed thriller of a movie. The lead actor, James portrays a wimpy office worker who is unable to confront his boss about her constant beligerant badgering along with avoiding confrontation with his best friend who is having sex with his live in girlfriend. He becomes a hero in his own mind as he develops the courage to face all of the people that have caused him problems throughout the past couple of years. He becomes trained to be an assassin just like his father who he is told died in one of his assignments.

If you want to see a film that will keep you at the end of your seat throughout then check out Wanted. I don’t know why it didn’t stay in theatres longer but it certainly should become a dvd favorite.

Rock of Love Bus is crazier than ever. After last week with the elimination of two girls, one being found out that she was on the show for notorioty, the bus ride continues to surprise. There were three girls left without passes when Bret told his partner in crime to take the remaining passes and leave. He explained to two girls that he was hurt. One girl who had become attached to Bret named Kelsey didn’t win one of the challenges and remained distant during the concert since she was mad. She was placed on one of the balconies with the other teammates that lost the challenge. The other girls were having fun and singing along with the music while she remained quiet and upset. This almost got her eliminated. Then there is the sporty girl who other girls on the bus refer to her as a man. She got caught making out with a bandmate of Bret’s and almost got eliminated for it. He lectured her about that at the elimination. He explained that even if he was drunk he wouldn’t have made out with any of her girlfriends.

Then there is the Brazilian Marcia who loved to drink. Her theory was drink since it’s there. Why let it go to waste? She was drunk 24/7. She was drunk even during elimination. She smiled as she was told by Bret that that was why he was eliminating her along with the fact that it really hurt him that she gave away a gift that he gave to her. The gift was from him and shouldn’t have been given to someone no matter what the intention was. It showed that she didn’t care. He also explained that he cannot build a relationship with someone who is drunk all of the time. Bret left and Marcia remained on the platform smiling. They interviewed her afterwards to find out what she was thinking. She started speaking in jibberish and then explained that she didn’t want to waste any alcohol. Then why did she come on the show? They continued the program by showing Marcia falling all over the place while she was wasted. Rather funny stuff.

Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor, and Michelle Williams starred in a thriller that was released in theatres back in April 2008 called Deception. This wasn’t exactly a thriller however. They promoted it and categorized this film as such, but in fact it is more of a drama. There is some psychological twist about it but it isn’t a thriller. You aren’t on a roller coaster ride while watching the movie. You don’t feel as though you are a part of the action especially since there isn’t any action. However, Deception is a good movie. I rented it, but I never saw any advertisements for it and never saw it in the theatres.

This is the first film that I have seen where Hugh Jackman portrays a bad guy. Ewan portrays a man desperately seeking for a life instead of his hum drum boring life. He hasn’t dated in years and doesn’t have any friends. He finds a friend in Jackman who leads a double life with a list of women that call at any given time and ask “Are you free tonight?” Ewan manages to end up with Hugh’s cell phone and in turn finds himself with many different women.

Deception has a high content of sexual scenes and some nudity. Aside from that, I would recommend this film for those interested in an intense drama. The acting is great as is the direction by Marcel Langenegger. Check it out.

Joy Ride 2 was released in October 2008 but went straight to video. Don’t know why it did. It wasn’t that bad. The acting from the four main characters was what kept this film together. The direction was good, but the only thing wrong with this film was that it was far fetched. The original Joy Ride starred Paul Walker and Leelee Sobieski. The characters were likeable and the story was adventerous and nervewracking. It is one of my favorite horror films. Joy Ride 2, however, is not.

The film stars Laura Jordan, Nicki Aycox, Nick Zano, and Kyle Schmid. The two girls portray sisters who decide to travel to Las Vegas. One girl is engaged and takes along her fiance while her sister decides to pick a guy she met on myspace on the way to the city. Eventually, their car stalls out during their trip down a dirt road and they decide to walk. Along the way, they come across a house that has no electricity and appears that no one has lived in for years. Of course they find a car that just so happens to have the keys in it. They decide to take off with it promising to each other that they will return the car. The engaged girl decides to leave her cell phone number so that the owner can call her. Of course he does, but after he manages to take off with the girl’s fiance. And of course he is a killer who drives an 18 wheeler. He holds the fiance for ransom as the remaining three have to do everything they are told by the man behind the wheel. They are harrassed, belittled, and manipulated into embarrassing situations until the next person is taken.

Joy Ride 2 doesn’t compare to the first which is probably why it did go straight to video but it is definitely better than many movies that are released in theatres such as P2 and The Devil’s Rejects. The acting in the film is very good and they made you care about them. I just wish the torture scenes were kept out of the film. It wasn’t in the first and shouldn’t have been in the second. Otherwise this film would have been much better and probably more successful for the original Joy Ride fans. Also, if the killer was made more human like in the first rather than some unbeatable killing machine then it would be more realistic.

America’s Best Dance Crew or better known now as ABDC is turning out diverse dance crews. They booted off two crews now. The first one was a Hispanic based group that was proud of their heritage and wanted to focus on it rather than making their focus on the dance aspect. They were eliminated the first show. The second show eliminated the BoxCuttuhz. They received the least amount of votes. They were up against a group that was eliminated last season before the show even got started, Team Millenia.

My prediction at this point is that the final two will end up being between Dynamic Edition and The Ringmasters. These are two completely different types of dancers that makes the show what it is, unique and raw. You never really know what to expect on ABDC and that’s what keeps the viewers watching.

By the way, I am very happy to see JC back. He was badly missed on the first show and I hope he never disappears again.

American Idol began its new season and has a new group of crazy characters and more great singers. There is a new addition to the judges that I didn’t anticipate to be a good idea, but after watching the first couple episodes I realize it was. The new judge is a singer/songwriter who has worked with many singers including former Idol’s Kelly Clarkson and Bo Bice.

This season looks to be taking itself more seriously as there is less time spent on goofy singers who obviously only tried out to be on telelvision. Don’t get me wrong, there are a number of singers allowed on the show that are really bad and are for obvious entertainment for the viewers to laugh at them, but not as much as before. There are quite a few good singers that have tried out and no more than five great singers.

There is still the straight forward opinion of Simon and the more generous opinions of Randy and Paula. With the new judge, Kara it will make things a little more interesting as she continues to fued with Simon. She is the mix that the show needed to keep their high ratings.

The girl on the far left was the crazy girl who was eliminated

Rock of Love Bus eliminated two girls this week. After the first couple of weeks where there were more than two girls sent home this week there were only two. There was supposed to be only one girl sent home, but after one of the girls were caught (by two other girls on the bus) talking to her boyfriend on the phone and making fun of Bret he sent her home. She was a girl that wasn’t sure if she wanted to stay or not. She kept going back and forth with Bret and after she would tell him to send her home she would make out with him which led him to keep her. After being confronted by Bret before elimination about the phone call and her boyfriend she of course denied the claim that other girls made against her. Then when confronted in front of the other girls during elimination she admitted to it and said she didn’t want to be there anyway and left with her middle finger in the air.

The next girl that was eliminated was one of the weirdest girls they had on the show. She would cry because Bret didn’t appreciate her enough, she cried when he didn’t pay her enough attention, and she cried when she was verbally attacked by the other girls for good reasons. One of the conversations I thought was funny was when Bret cut her off in mid sentence to tell her he had to get ready for elimination. She was complaining how all of the girls were attacking her and of course she was in tears. Bret didn’t eliminate her that week but he did this week. She was a porn star that wanted to start her life in the right direction which is why she was half dressed most of the time? Which is why she made trouble with the other girls all of the time? Which is why she made out with Bret as much as she could? Yeah, I guess she was trying really hard. I’m glad she’s gone and hopefully he will get rid of a couple other wack jobs he’s got on there.

I don’t know why this show is so entertaining to me, but somehow it is. I can’t believe that half of these women do some of the things they do. They are nasty, skanky, and flat out gross but it’s like watching a train wreck I guess. I don’t want to look but you can’t help but look. Oh well, these girls must be looking for their own reality shows since it is so obvious they aren’t serious about finding true love. Most of them just want to party and get drunk and have sex. Maybe that’s exactly what Bret is looking for.

America’s Best Dance Crew has begun another season with dance crews from all over the United States. The first episode didn’t include JC Chasez as one of the judges and he was definitely missed. One of the dancers from the Jabbawakees (the first season winners) ended up taking his place. When I first saw that JC wasn’t there I thought this was really going to suck. I didn’t like the show as much anymore which may sound rather corny, but JC really adds something different to the show. Then the host Mario Lopez said he would return on the next show.

The show offered new types of dance crews including cloggers with a hip hop twist and poppers that also include hip hop. I think this season is going to be very interesting. There are no particular crews that stand out. There are two all girl groups that will probably not last very long in the competition. For some reason the girl groups focus too much on how cute or sexy they look rather than just dancing. They could really slam the others if they would put their all into it.
