Jason Mraz released his third solo album this year entitled We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. The first single off the album is called “I’m Yours” and is a song that has been used across the globe. In Australia they use the song for various television ads for a television show while in Brazil they use it as a theme song for a soap opera. “I’m Yours” is also nominated for two Grammy’s. Amazing how I never heard of the song until recently when I decided to listen to it online. I never heard of Jason Mraz nor his music. After listening to “I’m Yours” I know why. It wouldn’t be very popular on the radio. It is a folksy type song that is simple yet beautifully written and sung by Mraz. It just isn’t radio material for popular stations. There would be no way this song would make it onto the pop, r&b, or rock charts. Maybe the song could make it onto the contemporary charts. Or could it? Then I find out that it made it onto the Billboards top 100 charts back in February and went as high as number 5. Go figure.

The video is carefree and shoots scenes near beaches, waterfalls, driving in the back of a truck, and skateboarding. Eventually it comes to Mraz on a boat singing his song with his band. Very well done video and fits the music perfectly.
