Brooke Burke comes out ahead of the pack this week. The judges have been bragging about Brooke being one of those that have the natural talent to dance. I am talking about Dancing with the Stars. Many of the celebrities can’t seem to catch a break with the judges as they seem to be harder and harder on them each season. They are calling out Kim Kardashian on her lack of personality and lack of movement. They are attacking Lance Bass for not being traditional enough. And this week they criticized Cloris Leachman for not being crazy enough.
Burke received the highest scores and remains on the top. Vollyball player Misty May-Treanor is in the top with my favorite dancer Maks. Warren Sapp (football player) is surprisingly great. I love this guy and anticipate him to go to the end. There are a number of celebrities that have stood out this week while others have fallen behind. Susan Lucci of All my Children fame is doing better each time she gets out there to perform as is Toni Braxton. Lance and Cody Linley are also doing rather well.
Those that I would choose to be voted off tomorrow would be between chef Rocco DiSpirito and Kim Kardashian. Kim doesn’t move at all and keeps saying she is trying her best. I love her partner Mark but she has got to go. Track star Maurice Green should stick around for another week but he may be in the bottom this week due to the judges low score.

New York Goes to Hollywood had its season finale leaving us with Tiffany (aka New York) getting an acting role in a movie. She was offered to do another season of I love New York and turned it down for now. She made it clear at the end of the episode that she will do another season of the dating reality show if her acting career doesn’t go anywhere. Yet, if it does then she will continue on with her career. In her words, “I’m not going to turn down a paycheck.”
New York will continue to do another season of Nygth and once she is able to see where this role will take her she will then decide on another season of I love New York. She said if she had to she would continue to do I love New York 17. I don’t think people will watch for that long. I think there’s another season or possibly two out of I love NY but not anymore than that since other characters will come into play and they will base shows around them. For instance, since her relationship with Tailor Made didn’t work out they may ask him to do his own show. Though his character is annoying and really not entertaining. Maybe they will ask Budda if he wants to do his own show. I know that in reason news believe it or not, if you watched the last season of I love New York you will know who Punk is and he ended up engaged to Jennifer Hudson of American Idol fame and the Oscar winner. Yep, he may not have landed Tiffany but he made sure to land another and big money maker Jennifer Hudson. Crazy how things work. Good for him. I felt he should have been the one Tiffany chose anyway.
Only time is going to tell who we will see on the next love matching series, but if it isn’t Tiffany it will definitely be one of her past contestants. They have to keep these shows going after all. That’s how they (VH1) make their bundles of money.

Senator Barack Obama came out to show why he should be president. Senator John McCain seemed always on the defense. He tried pulling attention off of some bad decisions that were made in the past 8 years, but Obama made sure to relate and name McCain alongside President Bush. Smart move.
People need to be reminded that voting for McCain will be the same as voting in Bush once again. Sure there may be a few minor things different, but he still backs the war and has absolutely no timetable set up to get the soldiers out of Iraq. McCain’s theory is “put more boots on the ground.” That’s insane and ridiculous.
Obama managed to make his points how he would like to make a change for the better. At this point, we really have nothing else to lose. With McCain we will continue to go spiraling down. He continues to talk about the corrupt money hungry theives among the administration and among wall street and yet he will not change anything. There aren’t any specifics mentioned. Obama wants to get small businesses back in action and try to get more assistance to those that desperately need it and at least talks about a change. In order for McCain to win votes he needs to stress change. No one wants to continue going down with no way of getting back up.
I wish that Obama came out pointing more of the problems with McCain. He did point out a few but he had more chances of completely nailing him for all of the problems in the administration that he is linked to. I am a Republican and I am a white woman who feels strongly against allowing corruption ruling this country any longer. We must change it and let this party realize we will not stand for corporation ruling. Let them fall where they may.
Whoever focuses in on improving education and producing small businesses is going to find the country improving greatly. With smarter and more educated individuals trying to develop their own businesses rather than rely on larger ones will help the economy more than anything else. Health care is a focus made by Obama and the need to help the elderly are among the changes that can be made with the right choice for President.

Ted Mcginley was the second celebrity voted off Dancing with the Stars in its first week. Yes folks, bubble head Kim Kardashian and Cloris Leachman made it another week. The 82 year old actress managed to win her way into viewer’s hearts and stick it out to learn another dance and Kim made it through by bouncing her rear. So Ted got voted off for not doing enough shaking or enough comedy maybe? I am surprised he was voted off. He was not great but he definitely had potential. And I thought he was funny too.
In a previous blog I mentioned Ted Mcginley as being an odd character, but I was thinking of someone else who was also an actor with a similar name. I won’t get into that. Anyway, Mcginley has been in many comedies in both television and film and yet he is probably best known for Married with Children. He was also on Happy Days for a number of years. I really liked this guy and thought he would be eliminated probably mid-way through.
Cloris really should have been voted off last night and because she wasn’t another good dancer was let go. My thought was that it would be between Cloris or Kim Kardashian who would go home. What is up with Kim just standing there trying to shake her butt? Her partner Mark Ballas knows he doesn’t have much to work with and is trying to work her sexuality, but it’s not working. Kim has a no personality! None. She just stands around acting pretty which is why modeling is perfect for her. She says she is shy which is why she didn’t perform as well as the others. Yeah, she is shy. That’s why she is able to have pictures taken of herself practically naked. Whatever!

Cloris Leachman is one of the craziest contestants Dancing with the Stars ever had. For some reason they can’t seem to get control over this 82 year old lady. Cloris is an actress and is probably best known for her work on the 70’s show Mary Tyler Moore and the 80’s show Facts of Life.
Leachman doesn’t allow anyone to talk over her or tell her what to do. Even when she is dancing she seems annoyed that her partner is forcing her to go in the right direction. She definitely likes to put on a show but she is crazy! She was bleeped out when she called the judges names and criticized her scores. They even had to get the camera off of her as she continued to yell about the results. People were laughing but you must wonder if she is just trying to be funny or if she is out of her mind.
Strangely enough I like the actress and hope she stays for awhile longer. She is entertaining for sure, but I don’t want to see people go home that don’t deserve it. They all seem to be really good this year and I can’t imagine who will be going home next. Tune in tonight and find out. Love this show.

I am in the midst of trying to refinance my home since I am stuck in one of these ridiculous adjustable loans. Yep, I am one of the many suckers in the U.S. that managed to fall into the lenders trap. They gave me a high interest rate and everything even though my credit wasn’t that bad.
My loan has been sold three times and most recently sold to Litton Loan Services. I say their name since they have shown to me that they enjoy adding extra fees that have nothing to do with my account. I spend weeks that go into months fighting these stupid extra fees that are never explained completely on even why they are on there. They make you call and call and call until you find someone that has enough curteousy to tell what is REALLY going on. Now I await another month before I see the extra fees I sent them.
See, the thing is, loan companies, especially servicing companies rely on homeowners to stop calling and get frustrated. Yet, they don’t know me very well. I don’t give up and in fact, I keep pushing them until I can finally get an answer. I told this lovely lending servicer that I know what their next step is going to be which is charge taxes. I had to tell the people that answer the phones and who are set up to point in the WRONG direction to be certain not to bill my December mortgage statement with taxes that I already pay separately. See, if you are in an FHA loan you are required to have your taxes included and at the end of the year they will send you the difference if any or you pay more if needed. I have heard many bad things about this company and am working on getting rid of them by refinancing.
What I would like to do is offer assistance to anyone who is struggling with their lender and with their mortgage payments. I can help you with some advice if you are going through some tough times. I don’t like how the many lenders, particularly lending services are handling mortgages of homeowners. If you are a struggling homeowner and would like to speak your mind here please do so and I will do what I can to help you.

Man, was I wrong about America’s Got Talent. I was right about some of it but the two I favored didn’t make it into the top five. Yeah, they weren’t to most talented, but they had the most charisma. I’m talking about the now famous four year old Kaitlyn and the Elvis impersonator Joseph. I anticipated these two to make it to the top five simply because of their ability to entertain.
In the top five are the two violinists, the opera singer, the piano player, and the singers one male and one woman. Now I anticipate the opera singer or the female singer to win hands down. I don’t think there are any real surprises here and I think there will be less viewers due to the fact that there’s less reason to watch. There isn’t a handsome man shaking his bum on the show anymore and there isn’t a cute little girl singing her heart out and bubbles with absolute adorability. There is a reason why Kaitlyn continued and the other children competing didn’t. She was honest and wasn’t trying to put on a show, she was her own show. Sure the other kids were cute too but they didn’t have what Kaitlyn had which is why she is all over you tube. Now if America’s Got Talent is really looking for someone that has talent I hope the viewers realize that none of these people that are in the top five other than the opera singer has real charisma. They all seem either boring, lame, or full of themselves. But yes, they do have talent. They just aren’t as entertaining as the two I favored. Oh well.

America’s Got Talent Kaitlyn Maher and Joseph Hall are two that I think will end up in the top five. They seem to trigger a connection to the audience and viewers that no one can seem to match no matter how talented they are.
Kaitlyn is the four year old singer and Joseph is the Elvis impersonator. I makes me laugh to see the impersonator make so many girls scream. It seems so silly but apparently he’s effective.
The person that will probably be voted off next will be the Frank Sinatra impersonator. He didn’t sound very good singing “New York New Yor” last night. Very few people can handle that song including Liza Minelli. So, for the old man to try I give him credit and he really didn’t do that bad. I guess it was just rather boring.
The top five will probably consist of Kaitlyn and Jospeh along with Neil Boyd the opera singer, Queen Emily who is one of the best singers they have had on the show, and Eli Mattson who is a singer and piano player. The Wright kids are not that entertaining and Nuttin but Stringz are great players but it kind of gets old watching them. Singer Jessica Price should end up in the bottom for sure. Her voice and personality doesn’t work for me. I’ll be surprised if she isn’t sent home soon.

In the recent episode of I Love Money the entertainer was immediately booted off the show due to losing a competition. The contestants had to hold onto a stripper pole that was attached to a rail upside down. The entertainer went first and it was warned that the first person that falls is immediately eliminated.
From there, things began to get a little more interesting. White boy fell second while one by one toastie and pumkin fell along with megan and brandi C leaving hoopz to be the pay master.
Soon after, Megan went to hoopz to tell her how toastee and pumkin want to get rid of her and have been planning this a while ago. This led to a long ridiculous fight between megan and brandi C against toastee and pumkin.
More twists….somehow brandi C and megan ended up being chosen for eviction and Real elected himself to go in the box. Real proposes to hoopz on their outing and she basically laughs at him in disbelief while brandi and megan cheer her on to accept.
Finally, brandi C decides to withdraw from the show in order to save megan. She had built a friendship with megan that she felt she would sacrifice herself in order for megan to be saved. As it turns out, the pay master has to choose from three people for someone to go home and the pay master has to make that decision. Therefore, everyone went back into the vault to decide who will be the third person up for eviction.
Brandi C did more than save megan, she has managed to make the situation really bad for either toastee or pumkin (who both thought they were safe and laughing on the side).
I really like this show and hope they can continue another seasons worth. They will have to select crazy characters and Vh1 is good at that. My prediction is either white boy or hoopz will win. Real will do whatever hoopz wants and white boy doesn’t like that much.

Dan wins Big Brother 10. He played the game the best and his fellow housemates rewarded him for it by voting unanimously for him. He won $500,000 while Memphis who got second won $50,000. Keesha won the third prize of $25,000 as America’s favorite jury member. Surprisingly Jerry ran a close second for the third place prize. He aggravated me a lot throughout the show so I wouldn’t have given it to him. If it wasn’t Keesha who got it should have been Renny.
At the end of the show Dan and Memphis came out of the house. A very odd looking girl went up to hug Dan preventing him from shaking hands with the people cheering him on. She looked like a burned barbie. Then I realized she is the infamous “monica” that Dan kept talking about. He didn’t seem too thrilled to see her though. But I couldn’t believe this raggedy girl was the person he kept talking about throughout the season. Anyway, he seemed very happy to see his parents.
For some reason I always feel let down by the finale on Big Brother. I can’t seem to put my finger on it, but something is missing. After announcing the winner no one gets talked to and pretty much the Julie Chin says to the camera that this is big brother and goodnight. What a let down. Maybe I’m the only one that feels this way but I really expect more of a show since they did spend almost three months trying to determine a winner to only be quickly announced, have a clump of silver confetti thrown up in the air, and then the third place winner announced. End of show. I am surprised they didn’t spend more time with the four contestants that were voted off early and weren’t able to be a part of the jury. I’m pleased Dan won, but I just expected more to the show.
