Untraceable

Untraceable poster Recently I watched the movie Untraceable that stars Diane Lane. I rented it since I didn’t have an opportunity to see it in theatres. I anticipated it to be a good movie since it had a great concept. I hate to admit it but I was disappointed. Something that could have been great turned into a let down.
Basically, a man that was upset since the news media made a big story over his father killing himself decided to tap into computer programs and developed a website where people would witness various people being tortured to death. The more people that went to the site the closer to death the captured person would get.
I didn’t like the torture scenes. This is not entertainment to me. They could have taken this film in a better direction by leaving these scenes out. No one needs to see someone burn to death while his feet and hands are buried in cement or watching someone die while sitting in battery acid. Very sick ideas and not relateable. What a disappointment.
The plot of the film was really interesting but thanks to the director the film was directed into the wrong direction.
