American Idol crowned its winner between the Davids. David Cook took home the title but Archuleta wasn’t far behind. He came in second and has a bright future ahead of him. I wanted the teenager to win since I liked his music more and I felt American Idol could find more marketable aspects with Archuleta. Anyway, Cook won and I am looking forward to see how they will market his music.
Archuleta can be signed by Disney and perform several concerts at Disneyworld. Teenage girls from all over would come out to see him perform and make tons of money for Disney and American Idol. Yet, David’s father is going to cause him a big problem. He seems to be one of these obsessive parents that are completely into his son’s business. He wants his son to be the center of attention and win, win, and win some more. He wants him to make tons of money so that he can get his greedy little hands on it. That’s my opinion. I feel sorry for Archuleta since his father is so controlling. I don’t think I ever heard in all the years American idol has been on the air how a parent had to be prevented from coming in the back. He cost the show more money than they anticipated by filling his son’s head with words to sing in a song that made the show have to pay another artist. Hopefully David will be able to get away from his father so that he will be able to have a great career.
