I was really surprised when I heard that singer Clay Aiken is going to become a father. Details weren’t put out about the type of relationship he was having with the mother of his child, Jaymes who also happens to be his producer and roommate. She is the daughter of composer David Foster. It turns out they are simply best friends. The lady is in her latter 40’s and I guess she asked Clay to help her have a child before she becomes too old to have one. He agreed to assist her with an artificial insemination with his sperm.

I am still surprised that he agreed. But whatever. Clay is a good guy and I hope he doesn’t get harrassed over this. It is surprising but he has the right to do what he wants. Especially if Jaymes is his best friend. I am glad to hear he chose to help her out. It is very difficult these days to find someone who is decent and has enough money to help support a child or two.
