I have been writing for many years. I write for several websites and find it a great hobby and hopeful it can become my full time job. I wrote a novel entitled Her Desires that can be found on www.epublishing.com and it is something I am so proud that I did. It was about a relationship I had with a man that I met on one of my vacations. I didn’t realize it would turn into anything serious. When it did I found myself preparing to move to another country and leaving my family. Then I come to find out the man is already married. I wrote Her Desire to help me deal with the emotional torment I was going through. I didn’t understand and still don’t understand why someone would do that to anyone. I thank God I found out the real story before it was too late.
Falling in love isn’t easy and when you find that person that you truly want to spend the rest of your life with you become overwhelmed with joy. It is a rare feeling that is truly hard to explain. It is an emotion that no one can bring down unless of course the person is really nothing you thought they were. It just so happens you fell in love with an idea or a character they portrayed. The immediate horrible pain you feel is excrutiating and almost unbearable. Just when you think you are going to die tomorrow comes and a new day begins. It sucks plain and simple, but you move on and deal with it. You have to and that’s all that is to it.
Recently my brother was going to get married to a woman living in another state which was all the way across the country. He met her through an online dating service and figured out after he asked her to marry him and she said yes that it is really not for him. The dating service that is. It ended up he couldn’t move away from his family and she had no understanding to it. Since he wasn’t moving fast enough for her she called off the wedding and was back on the site within three days. Hmmmm. I told him it was best he never moved since it was suspicious that she wanted too much too fast. She was a 45 year old woman with no plans to have any kids. Why do you want this 45 year old man to hurry up and marry you? Why do you not care to meet his family until the wedding day? Why is everything her way and no compromise? I didn’t like it and I’m glad he is rid of her. But it is six months later and he is still hurting from the pain. I told him there are plenty of fish in the sea with no exaggeration. It sucks but it is time to move on. Don’t waste anymore time on this person that wasn’t trustworthy to begin with. He will see the truth in time. But love can really hurt sometimes.

Have you ever fallen in love with someone who is married? It is something I thought I would never do! After all, it is wrong and not ethical. As it turns out it is something that has happened to me. We started out friends and before you know it I ended up with deep feelings for him.
I keep telling myself we are just friends and that he is married. Then when I hear him saying that if he wasn’t married already he would marry me. That didn’t help the situation. I am worried and concerned for myself. I don’t want to get hurt, but I can’t seem to stay away from him either. He is so much fun to be around and he is one of my best friends. He is always there when I need him for advice or if anything goes wrong in my life.
Has anyone else gone through such a situation? Has anyone falling in love with someone who was married? I guess that is why they say that married couples should stick with other married people since the chances of cheating are less.

Recently I inquired about refinancing my home since I am under an adjustable loan. This means that the interest rate will fluctuate after a certain amount of years agreed on at the time of signing. I know that I will probably pay a penalty but I need to make sure I don’t end up paying double the amount I am paying now.
Anyway, as soon as I spoke with a lender he gave me some insight to what I would need to do. Of course you must make sure that you have less out than you make. There cannot be anymore than 41% out than your income. In this case I do. So now I have to work on getting my credit cards down further than they are or pay off my car. Either way it is going to take time and I don’t have much time left.
So what do people do that are in my situation? FHA is the only program out there that will give a good percentage rate and there is not much more I can do. I didn’t know they completely got rid of the adjustable loans since they were causing such problems however, it allowed someone like myself who didn’t make quite enough money (according to paper work) and my credit wasn’t in high enough standings to get a home. I also couldn’t afford to rent an apartment. Should people like myself that isn’t married and relies solely on themselves completely fall into the cracks of the system and become homeless?
I am investigating things further and hope that the laws that will soon go into effect will help me be able to finance rather than become another victim of the foreclosures. I make enough to support myself and pay the mortgage with no problem. I am able to afford all my bills and still have some left over but according to paper work I don’t make enough. The system is set up for the income of two people and not one. Is this really fair?

I bought a PT Cruiser about three years ago. I reached 65,000 miles and had to get a tune-up. No big deal. At least that’s what I thought. I ended up paying $150 at the local mechanic shop. I found an honest mechanic nearby and when he turned around and charged me triple the amount of money than the original cost I questioned it. He told me it was because of the labor. In most cases it isn’t difficult at all to pull out the plugs and replace them but for some reason these spark plugs were extremely difficult for them the deal with.
One month later my car started acting funny. I took it back to the mechanic and asked them to check it out and they wanted to suddenly charge me $75 for a diagnositic test. I left and went to another mechanic a friend recommended me to. I was charged $35 for the same test and they told me it had to do with the tune-up. I returned to my mechanic and explained to them the situation. They ran a test of their own for free and told me it had to do with the computer to the car. Then the mechanic told me I would have to go to the dealership in order to get this replaced.
I wasn’t happy with this at all. I couldn’t imagine having to pay hundreds of dollars for something that shouldn’t be wrong with the car at only 65,000 miles. I went to the dealership and they told me it was needing a tune up. I can’t say what I was thinking since it wasn’t very nice but I ended up forking up another $250. Has anyone ever paid $400 for a tune up? Has anyone ever paid $250 for a tune up? I know I neeeeevvvver have.
I spoke with the woman at the dealership asking why I would need another tune up after getting one not too long ago. She said that the dealership is only place I was able to take the PT Cruiser. This is how Dodge/Chrysler has set it up so that owners of this vehicle have to come to their shop.
I informed my mechanic that if he gets anymore PT Cruisers that he will not be able to do a tune up on them since the dealership made sure of this. The dealership also makes sure that PT owners among other cars out there have to go to them so that they make all of the money while raping people at the same time. Something that should only cost $50 will quadruple at the dealership. Beware all PT Cruiser owners! You may have to go to the dealership for more than you realize.
Before purchasing my next car I am going to investigate what I would need to go to the dealership for and would it be worth getting then. The mechanic told me that a law is going to be passed to get all dealerships to stop doing this since it is not only hurting the pockets of many car owners but also the small businesses that rely on the income of their mechanic shops as well as the mechanics themselves.

After the releases of Iron Man, the Chronicles of Narnia, and Indiana Jones this summer is proving to be one to look forward to. There are many new movies coming to theatres that are either sequels, television series brought to the big screen, or bright new ideas.
Movies to look forward to:
1. The X Files: I want to Believe starring the original cast David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The series is a classic and the first film was a hit. This sequel is planned to be a blockbuster. It will be released in theatres on July 3rd.
2. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is the third film in the Mummy series. Jet Li will star alongside Brendan Fraser giving many more effects than the audience may be expecting. I enjoyed the first two Mummy movies and I am looking forward to see what kind of ride they are going to put us on this time. The release date is set for August 1st.
3. Step-Brothers stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. This comedy brings these two actors together again for the third time. They always deliver laughs and I look forward to expecting the unexpected. It will be released on July 25th.
4. Wanted stars Angelina Jolie. I am real curious about this action film. It is based from a comic book and Jolie portrays a superhero. Its planned released date is June 27th.
Movies to beware of:
1. Get Smart stars Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. Carell is not very funny in leading roles and does best when he is cast as a supporting actor. He tends to push too hard to be funny and isn’t natural at it. Hathaway has a more natural comedic side to her that can work in the role as agent 99. Too bad they couldn’t find someone else to play Maxwell Smart.
2. The Love Guru stars Mike Myers and Jessica Alba. After seeing the previews to this film I can’t say that it is original work from Myers. It seems as though he is portraying Austin Powers with a long beard and funky hair. It all seems a bit over done. Alba is basically placed to be cuuuuute as usual which is also very old.
Movies that can be a Hit or Miss:
1. The Incredible Hulk starring one of the most under-rated actors in Hollywood, Edward Norton. He is taking on the lead role and he may be able to make this one work. The first movie wasn’t as good as it could have been. The comic book character is not always easy to bring to the big screen though they managed to be effective with the television series.
2. Sex and the City: the movie stars Sarah Jessica Parker along with her three best friends. The television series ended several years ago and now it is making an attempt to bring new life on the big screen. It looks interesting and if you were a fan of the show you may enjoy the film, but with the women are looking so much older and skinnier that it may be hard to believe that they are the same women.
3. Tropic Thunder stars Ben Stiller and Jack Black. I believe Robert Downey Jr. also has a part in this film though it isn’t highlighted or talked about much. He is bound to give the movie a great boost in comedy. Not too many people realize how funny Downey can be and along with Norton he is one of the most under-rated actors as well.
4. Hancock stars Will Smith and Charlize Theron. These two actors together in a film should work, but the storyline seems a little strange. Smith portrays a man with super human strength that in a twist of fate begins doing the right thing for people, but he seems to be a very unlikable person. I don’t know how this will fare at all.
5. You Don’t’ Mess with Zohan stars Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider. Sandler portrays one of the greatest agents who chooses to become a hairdresser instead after becoming tired of all of the violence. It seems a bit silly to me but I found myself laughing at the previews.

I have a friend who adores all animals. She even adores snakes. This is one creature I could never get used to, however, I don’t believe in harming them unless it is in defense. My friend had a pet corn snake. She would let it out of its tank and allow him to slither around her body but mostly her neck and arms. Snakes are typically wild, but many can do well when they are raised by a human. Never try to capture a snake and take it home to have as a pet. It can never work. You will only depress the reptile along with stressing it and possibly accidentally killing it. They are also prone to diseases. Be careful when choosing a snake as a pet.
There are particular snakes that do best in captivity. The Corn Snakes, King Snakes, and the Ball Python are the best choices for having a snake as a pet especially if it is your first time having one. Snakes do not eat vegetation. One thing you will have to get used to is giving mice or rats to them as a meal. The rodent should be dead already; however, a select few will not be as quick to eat the rodent if it is not alive. It could be the warmth of the potential food or the thrill of the hunt that makes the snake more intrigued to eat. They should be raised eating dead mice and as they get bigger they can eat rats. First of all, it is the most humane way to give the food and it will also protect the pet snake from any potential injuries it may get in order to kill the rodent. You should realize that the rodents used for food purposes only are usually wild and not hand-raised which means they could be rather vicious. Especially if they get out of the tank somehow it will become a big mess and everyone loses. To be on the safe side simply give the pet snake a mouse or rat that is frozen.
The Corn, King, and Ball Python’s are the easiest to take care of since they require the basics and will not get too big where you find yourself buying a bigger tank each couple of months. The largest these snakes will get is between 4 and 5 feet long. The Corn and King Snakes can live up to 20 years while the Ball Python can live up to 40 years. Therefore, be sure you want the snake as a pet. They will get used to you. My friend managed to keep the snake happy with plenty of attention and the right foods and right sized tank. The snake had plenty of heat and room to move around.
Snakes that will be harder to take care of are the Boa Constrictor, Burmese Python, Water snakes and any Boa’s and Python’s that live in trees. These are the hardest to take care of since they require more attention and larger food. They can get as big as 20 feet which means they may have to eat rabbits as well as rodents. Their area of living will have to increase to larger and larger tanks. They also have more potential to attack as opposed to the smaller snakes. Any snake chosen as a pet needs to have an owner that knows and understands its needs.

Has anyone heard about the latest with Tina Turner? I heard she is returning to touring. I checked out the dates and she seems to be very selective in the states she is going to perform in. I am having to go to Missouri in order to see her. She won’t be making a stop in Texas which is where I am living and the closest place will be Kansas City. I am bummed about this.
The last time I saw Tina perform was back in the mid 90’s and several years later I missed her concert to only hear that she was retiring for good. Hopefully she will consider to tour around to more states so that everyone can see her. She is a living legend and it is a once in a lifetime experience.
Tina will also be going to California for several concerts as well as Florida and New York. She will go to Arizona but it will take me more than 12 hours to reach that destination so I chose an 8 hour trip to Kansas City. I am driving so I hope gas prices will lower by then. I hate flying due to the many changes that have been going on with the charging of baggage. I thought we paid for that already in the airline ticket price? Anyway, I guess it doesn’t matter right now.
If everything plays out as planned I will be able to see Tina Turner perform at least one last time. She is one of the coolest performers ever and she is simply the best.

The New Kids on the Block have reunited and have released their first single since their break up back in the early 90’s. It has been more than 15 years since they performed live together and it just makes me so happy to hear they want to get back together at least for a little while.
This has been a great couple of years for me. I am a big fan of the Police. They reunited, Tina Turner is back on tour, George Michael is back on tour, and now the New Kids on the Block are returning. I am so glad I can go out to see some of the best entertainers in concert again. If you notice there aren’t many great entertainers out there anymore. I stopped going to concerts since many artists don’t seem to have a talent for connecting with their audience, but those that stick around and make a smashing comeback years later only goes to show how great they really were.
The New Kids are no longer kids. They are grown men which makes it very interesting to watch them perform now. They were on the today show and decided to pull in women to dance in the background. That was a bad mistake. They don’t need to do this. Their main audience are going to be women and they always perform to them which is what they did on the Today Show. The half dressed background dancers are completely uncomfortably misplaced. I didn’t enjoy watching these girls dancing and felt that they were thrown up there to fill in space. The New Kids will do just fine without them since they proved they can still entertain. Of course there are about two of them that are very average singers which is why they will put Joey McIntyre and Jordan Knight on front vocals, but they know what to do with a crowd.
I look forward to seeing NKOTB in concert around Dallas or anywhere close by. I look forward to hearing their newly released single, “Summertime” on the radio. It is a song that matches their style yet it is a tune that matches 2008 as well. I do think it will definitely put them back on the block and make them a solid return. I look forward to being able to hear the entire album. Look for them in your neighborhood since they are planning out their touring schedule and adding new dates. Right now they scheduled dates in a few northern states. This is turning out to be a great summertime already.

This is a hard time for me. I am having to deal with two of my nieces graduating from high school. I begin to think back when I graduated high school and remember the feeling I had. I couldn’t wait to get the heck out of there. Yet my nieces seem to have really enjoyed their high school years and it saddens me to see them growing up so fast.
Soon they will be going off to college and frankly, it hurts me to see them move away. I suppose I have been spoiled being able to see them when I wanted. I just wish they didn’t have to go but I am glad they are going onto college since I want to them grow up to be assertive and independent adults. I wish they didn’t have to do it so far away.
I don’t know how the parents do it. I find it so hard to let go and they aren’t even my kids. I will miss them greatly as I will only get to see them on holidays or weekends. They are growing up and I guess I have to face it. We are all getting older and time won’t stay still.
